Requires an overall general knowledge of the electrical requirements onboard Naval Ships. Such knowledge includes, but is not limited to, installing cables, banding, pack stuffing tubes/MCTS and equipment installs, power distribution, applicable equipment, and the ability to recognize electrical or electronic devices and circuitry used throughout the Maritime industry. Must have the ability to adapt to a variety of situations and the capability to work in any environment onboard a ship.

Qualified individual must be able to read schematics and blueprints, accomplish ship alterations with minimal supervision, and troubleshoot and repair various electrical systems on Naval Ships. Other required knowledge includes, but is not limited to, the ability to recognize electrical or electronic devices and circuitry used throughout the Maritime industry and knowledge of power distribution and equipment. Must also be competent in generating IDR’s (CFR) reports. This individual will be responsible for supervising and managing a crew to accomplish electrical installs onboard ship, as well as the coordination between trades and providing accurate information in order to accomplish a variety of tasks.

Qualified individual will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and processing operations as it relates to the electrical department. The qualified individual will also supervise and train employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed. This position will be responsible for ensuring all work accomplished is performed in accordance with safety, quality and government standards. Must be able to solve complex problems in any electrical system encountered, such as troubleshooting and repairing various electrical systems on Naval Ships, and have the ability to read schematics and blueprints. Must have the ability to recognize electrical or electronic devices and circuitry used throughout the Maritime industry and possess knowledge of power distribution and equipment.

Must be competent with industry practices, techniques, and standards. Requires thorough knowledge of electronics, as well as electricity. This includes, but is not limited to, experience with power generation, steam or gas turbine, motor driven, and static sources. Qualified individual must have the ability to demonstrate electro-mechanical skills and recognize electrical or electronic devices and circuitry used throughout the industry and must also be component in reading schematics and blueprints, accomplishing ship alterations with minimal supervision, and troubleshooting and repairing various electrical systems onboard Naval Ships. Experience maintaining and installing various electrical temporary systems onboard ships as well as experience in motor repair and weld machine maintenance and repair is a plus.

Position Specifics: Continental Maritime of San Diego is currently searching for an experienced Staff Account to help support our operations. The Staff Accountant reports to the Cost Accounting Manager and provides a wide variety of regular and recurring accounting functions, which require knowledge of accounting procedures and the ability to exercise independent judgement within established procedures. The Staff Account is responsible for processing monthly billings and maintaining the accounts receivable, assisting in the calculation and applications of indirect cost rates, including preparation of the final indirect cost submission, and assisting in contract revenue calculation and posting. Further responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include, but are not limited to, balancing and reconciling billed and unbilled accounts receivable general ledger accounts, making adjustments to the correcting, opening, and closing entries, assisting outside auditors by providing explanations of support materials, procedures, and preparation of any other necessary data, applies accounting principles within an established accounting system to maintain accurate records, prepare periodic financial and administrative reports and resolving various complex accounting problems and/or questions.

The Planner/Scheduler interprets work specifications and drawings, formulates, and develops resources loaded schedules, time-oriented work package networks and manpower management information utilizing Microsoft Project, EVM Software and the Integrated Management System. Maintains status through progressing and update interviews.

The Cost Estimating Analyst 2 is responsible for estimating labor and material costs bases on request for proposal (RFP) data submitted by prospective customers. The Cost Estimating Analyst 2 compiles data by utilizing applicable company software and/or input provided by the Estimating Supervisor, as directed. This individual also analyzes the data and informs the Estimating Supervisor of any potential issues.

NDT TEST EXAMINER 3                                                                                         1253

Position Specifics: Continental Maritime of San Diego is seeking a qualified NDT Examiner II to help support our operations. The NDT Examiner II will manage and oversee Continental Maritime’s Welding and NDT Program to ensure compliance with NAVSEA Welding, NDT requirements, and other contractual requirements. Must be able to accomplish Internal Audit of the Welding and NDT program in compliance with Company and Customer requirements and process improvement program. Qualified individual will develop and administer NDT personnel training and certification programs. This individual will also train, examine, and certify nondestructive test (NDT) Level I and II personnel, ensuring that NDT personnel are competent and qualified to perform the applicable NDT tests in conformance with contractual requirements.
 NDT Examiner II will develop and maintain NDT, Welding procedures, and workmanship standards, while ensuring the adequacy of the program. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining Welding Workmanship and Qualification Program to ensure welders and welding operator qualifications comply with NAVSEA standards and contractual requirements, providing welding workmanship training and examination for all welders and inspectors in compliance with Company and Customer requirements, developing and maintaining Welding Procedures in compliance with NAVSEA and contractual requirements, developing welding surveillance program, and providing training to Quality and Production QCI personnel in conducting weld surveillances. Interprets drawings and work specifications, procedures, and other technical requirements. Accomplished NDT inspections to support Production Departments, as necessary. Compiles and prepares technical and interpretive reports relating to NDT workmanship trends; analysis of reject rates; the resolution of problems; and the impact of methodology changes on manufacturing and inspection operations. Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in reporting adverse trends in relation to NDT and welding program as part of the Management Review process. Writes Condition Found Reports (CFR) and Corrective Action Request for resolution of all quality discrepancies found during surveillance, NDT inspection and audit performance. Monitors NDT Inspection and welding subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, and accomplishes other work as necessary. 
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be a certified Nondestructive Test Examiner (ASNT Level III or NAVSEA NDT Examiner), having fulfilled all prescribed education and experience requirements. 
• Must have four years’ experience in Visual (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) Inspection Methods. 
• Must have and be able to apply a demonstrated knowledge of applicable NDT techniques and methods, as well as their physical, chemical, and mathematical fundamentals.  
• This position requires proficiency in analytical processes and effective interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills. 
• Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office suite and database use. 
• Knowledge of US Navy Ships or prior US Navy NDT experience preferred, but not required.

Further responsibilities include conducting and preventing MASINT (Measurement and Signatures Intelligence) while engaging in counterintelligence operations associated with HUMINT (Human Intelligence), IMINT (Imagery Intelligence), SIGNIT (Signals Intelligence), and OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence). Additionally, identifies and reports on potential insider threat activities, Conducts the Shipyard Competent Person (SYCP) function, responds to high angles, confined spaces, and medical emergencies onboard ships within the facility. Prevents, protects, detects, and deters any damage to or loss of government, company, and personal property.

The Shipfitter Journeyman is responsible for the assembly, cutting, grinding metal structural parts to include plates, bulkheads, and strong-backs. The Shipfitter Journeyman also aligns parts in relation to each other, fit-up and tacks foundations and structural members, performs layout according to blueprints or reference lines, marks locations of holes to be drilled, drives wedges, and installs temporary fasteners to hold parts in place for welding or reveting.
Minimum Qualifications:
